Purpose 

HPMT Group (“HPMT”) believes that good Privacy is good business and good Privacy practices are a key component of corporate governance and accountability. 


The purpose of this policy is to establish the guiding principles for the collection, storage, processing, and protection of data (may it be in the form of digital, on paper or other materials) under the Personal Date Protection Act 2010 (“PDPA”) to ensure the privacy, confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information maintained by HPMT Group. 


Our Data Privacy Policy applies to all the employees, contract staff and vendors who process personal data on the Company’s behalf.

HPMT hereby notifies you of your rights under PDPA

1. Collection of Personal Data

In the course of your dealing with HPMT, we may request you to provide relevant personal data to enable us to enter into a commercial or employment relationship with you. The data may be collected from you or your authorised representative, third parties or from publicly available sources which may include but is not limited to: 

  • When you apply for a job with us or when you make an enquiry, complain, comments or feedback. 
  • When you participate in any survey internally or via appointed third party.
  • When you visit any of our premises, or attend any of our corporate events or visit our websites or interact with us via social media platforms

2. Nature of Personal Data sent through email, text, phone or any written form. 

  • This data may include but is not limited to name, job title, company name, age, gender, date of birth, identity card, passport number, photograph, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, physical and mental health. 
  • It may also include contact information such as address, email and phone number, marital status, details of dependents, work history, income, employer, tax file, EPF, SOCSO and criminal history and any other relevant information and data such as credit reporting agencies, authorities and/or corporations to enable us to enter into a commercial or employment relationship. 
  • Any obligatory personal data approved by you that is incomplete may cause us not to be able to process your application or provide you with our services. 

3. Use of personal data collected as permitted by applicable lay law for the following purposes: 

  • To verify your identity
  • To manage and maintain your account or contract with us 
  • To carry out your instructions or to respond to any inquiries, complaints, comments or feedback that you have sent to us. 
  • To protect or enforce our rights to recover any debt owing to us
  • To update, consolidate and improve the accuracy of our records
  • To comply with any legal or regulatory obligations under the applicable laws, regulations, guidelines or industry codes that applies to us. 
  • To third party with whom we have contracted to provide services to us for any of the purposes described above. 
  • To persons who have been identified as your authorised representatives for the purpose of the relevant transaction or inquiry. 

4. With whom we share your personal data

We may be required or need to disclose information about you to the following third parties as part of providing you with our services and management or operations of the same.

  • Federal and state government, law enforcement agencies or government agencies and regulators
  • Companies that act as our agents, contractors, service providers or professional consultants that assists us in processing and/or otherwise fulfilling transactions and providing you with the services you requested. 
  • Any credit reporting agencies or in the event of default, any debt collection agencies subject to the permitted law applicable to us. 

5. Your rights to access and correct your personal data

We shall retain your personal data in compliance with this Policy and or the terms and conditions of your agreement with HPMT for the duration of your relationship with us or where required by the law and/or required by HPMT’s relevant policies. 


During this period, we can assist you to access and correct your personal data held by us. To do that, you may submit your request to use via our email to
pdpa@hpmt-industries.com. For employment related data, please submit your request to hr@hpmt-industries.com.

6. Your consent

By submitting your personal data, you consent to the use of the personal data as set out in this Policy. If any changes made to the policy, we will publish the amended version on our website. Continued use of the service will signify that you agree to any such changes.

We shall comply with applicable privacy law, data protection laws and regulations, safeguard sensitive information, and mitigate risks associated with unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss of data. To the extent this Policy contradicts or is inconsistent with requirements to any law, statute or regulation, the higher standards shall prevail.
